Here is how you can create a Barcode Number for your product using the F: Generate Barcode app.
- Open the F: Generate Barcode app.
- Click on the Create Campaign button.
- There are three different ways to create barcodes:-
A. Custom Barcode: This option offers the most customizability, including a custom incrementing value.
Overwrite duplicate barcodes: This feature detects duplicated barcodes and replaces them in your products. If there are no duplicate or repeating barcodes, no changes will be applied.
Use Abbreviations : You can incorporate references to product names or inventory management names in your barcodes. The first six letters will be added to your barcode if you check any of the two options.
Prefix: Add the data that should appear at the beginning of the Barcode Number.
Body: The number displayed in the Barcode ID. It will increment by one digit for each ID. For example, if it starts at zero, it will be one for the next ID, three for the next, and so on. You can choose the initial number.
Suffix: Add the data that should be visible at the end of the Barcode Number.
Separator: This value will be added between all the other values you have assigned before.
B. Unique Generated Barcode: This feature generates a unique system-generated Barcode ID for each product.
Barcode Length: You can decide the length of the Barcode Number here, with a default length of 6.
Overwrite duplicate barcodes: This feature detects duplicated barcodes and replaces them in your products. If there are no duplicate or repeating barcodes, no changes will be applied.
Use Abbreviations: You can incorporate references to product names or inventory management names in your barcodes. The first six letters will be added to your barcode if you check any of the two options.
C. Variant Id: This method allows you to assign the Barcode Number of your products as your product's Variant ID, which is a unique ID Shopify assigns to every product you create in your Shopify store.
Overwrite duplicate barcodes: This feature detects duplicated barcodes and replaces them in your products. If there are no duplicate or repeating barcodes, no changes will be applied. - Now, you can add the products you want to create barcodes for:
- In the Products section, click on the Select Products button.
- Select the products for which you want to create barcodes and click Add.
- You can preview the created Barcodes with the selected products. Please note that this is for preview purposes only and they are not added to the products in your store.
- To add the barcodes to your products, click on the Sync to Products button.
