1.There are two ways to select products for SKU generation. When the user selects "All products," the SKU code will be generated for all products in the inventory. Alternatively, the user can click on "Choose products" to bring up a modal window where they can select the specific products they want to generate SKU codes for. By selecting individual products, users can generate SKU codes only for those products they are interested in, rather than having to generate codes for the entire inventory.
2.When creating SKU codes, there is a possibility of generating duplicate codes that may have been created earlier. In such cases, there are two options available to the user. The first option is "Overwrite with new SKU," which will replace the existing duplicate SKU code with a new one. The second option is "Keep existing SKU," which will retain the original duplicate SKU code and not generate a new one. Users can choose to overwrite existing duplicate codes with new ones or keep the existing ones, depending on their preferences and needs.
3.There are additional options available when generating SKU codes. The first checkbox, "Apply only to products with empty SKUs," generates SKU codes only for products that do not have existing codes.
The second checkbox, "Include product variant name," adds the product variant name to the SKU code as a part of the code. This option was previously mentioned in an earlier article.
The third checkbox, "Remove spaces," removes all spaces in the SKU code. This feature can help users to generate SKU codes that are cleaner and easier to read.
By selecting these options, users can generate SKU codes that are more efficient and easier to manage.
