Steps to Enable VAT ID Verification and Tax Exemption on Checkout
1. Shopify Plus Plan Requirement:
- Please note that the tax exemption feature is only available to Shopify Plus stores due to Shopify's limitations.
- Ensure your store is on the Shopify Plus plan.
2. App Plan Selection:
- In the app, make sure you are subscribed to the Plus plan which includes the VAT ID Verification feature.
3. Enable VAT ID Verification:
- Go to the app settings.
- Enable the "VAT ID Verification on Checkout" option.
4. Set Up in Shopify Theme Editor:
- Go to your Shopify admin and open the theme editor.
- Navigate to the checkout page.
- Click on "Add block" and select the "Tax Exempt" block.
- Click "Save" to apply the changes. The VAT checker will now be displayed on your checkout page.
5. Display Prices Without Tax:
- The app can display prices without tax on all pages, but the actual tax exemption during checkout is exclusive to Shopify Plus stores.
